During this lesson, I explored the different WordPress contribution teams and considered which one best matched my skills and interests. After reviewing the available options, I decided to contribute to the Polyglots Team because I enjoy working with language, reviewing content carefully, and helping make software more accessible to Spanish-speaking users.
My contribution project will focus on translating untranslated strings for WordPress projects into Spanish (Costa Rica) using GlotPress. I plan to begin with the WooCommerce project, following the official glossary and translation guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
I believe this project is a great opportunity to contribute to an open-source community while improving my understanding of the WordPress ecosystem. I also hope this experience will help me develop new skills in localization and collaborative software development.
